What is the difference between genuine, compatible and remanufactured inkjet cartridges?



Original
An original OEM(Original Equipment Manufacturer) ink cartridge is the branded product of the printer manufacturer. Therefore, if you have a Canon printer, the original ink cartridge will be manufactured by Canon. As you would expect the printer manufacturer will always encourage consumers to buy their own branded product. Original ink cartridges used in conjunction with original papers can often give the best possible results for high quality photographic prints.


Compatible
A compatible ink cartridge is a new cartridge (not refilled) produced by a third party manufacturer. They are predominately sold under 'own label' branding and they have no connection with the original manufacturer.     Thanks for giving this difference between two types of Printer Cartridges .This post decrease lots of confusion of my mind between this two cartridges.

    A compatible cartridge is a cartridge that is not produced by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).These cartridges are designed to meet or in best case even exceed the standards set by the OEM in terms of performance, print quality and page yield.

    If you manage to find an expert to remanufacture your ink cartridge, then you might experience that your Remanufactured Ink Cartridges is of a much better quality than what the original manufacturer had sold to you.
